My Photography Wish List

I suspect every photographer has a photography wish list. I also suspect that wish list changes constantly. As cameras and lenses continue to evolve more options are available. Along with equipment evolve, my knowledge grows, and my experiences take me in new directions as I pursue the passion for photography.

A Rebel Started It All

I remember very clearly when my wish list consisted of a Rebel XTi and a good travel lens. After learning a little my desire went towards a camera with more features. With that came a desire for better lenses, and on and on it goes. My current setup is

EF 16-35 f4L IS   my photography wish list
EF 50mm 1.8 STM  photography accessories
B+W XS Pro UV filter                        photography equipment

Canon 430 EXii                   canon camera

Of course a couple of camera bags full of other smaller items, such as remote shutter release, tripod(s), monopod, pouches, cleaning supplies, grey cards, etc., as well as a Tamron 18-250 that I have fallen out of love with. (For sale if anyone is interested)

My Wish List Today

So as of right now, the next item I am seeking is an EF 70-200 lens with image stabilization. I am leaning towards the Canon EF 70-200 f4L IS. This lens gets great reviews, image quality is reported as being equal to the much more expensive EF 70-200 f2.8L IS ii.  The image stabilization in my EF 16-35 f4l IS works so well that for the type of photography I do, I don’t feel the need for the 2.8

The debate goes on between APS-C and full frame. I will be covering this in my blog.

This best photography wish list is what I am currently watching and following.  Of course a nice new iMac would be great for post-process, but that’s after the lottery win. Some things on my wish list are closer than others, but one thing is for sure, there will ALWAYS be a wish list.  I would love to hear about your wish list.  It doesn’t have to be Canon, that is just my choice as described in another post.
